Introduction to the Quality Assurance Unit

The Quality Assurance Unit is a body composed of the head of the unit and members representing all faculties within the institution. The unit centrally oversees the implementation of the quality assurance system at the university and reports directly to the Rector. A Quality Assurance Unit is established in each faculty or institute, chaired by a member of the central Quality Assurance Unit.

The tasks of the Quality Assurance Unit are as follows:

  1. Implementing the standards of the National Quality Assurance Reference Framework.
  2. Proposing and monitoring quality improvement projects.
  3. Introducing and strengthening best practices.
  4. Conducting information and awareness activities on quality, including publications from the University Quality Assurance Unit (QAU).
  5. Ensuring the training of unit members.
  6. Working on training administrative staff and teachers and improving performance.
  7. Improving students’ training performance and promoting scientific research.
