Introduction to the Center

The Technology and Innovation Support Center was established at Bouira University within the framework of a partnership and cooperation agreement between the university and the Algerian National Institute of Industrial Property.

This partnership defines the terms and conditions for establishing the center to ensure services that meet the needs of users—professors, researchers, and students—in the field of information technology, while guaranteeing the protection of their industrial property.

1. Activate the university’s role in encouraging and developing creative and innovative capacities.
2. Promote the practical implementation of scientific research outcomes and creative work within the university.
3. Establish an environment that supports innovation and technological development.
4. Provide guidance and support services for project holders, promote the culture of trademark registration and protection, and facilitate access to scientific and technical resources.
5. Support activities related to technology transfer and training.
6. Participate in valorizing scientific research results and innovations through coordination between the university and various institutions and organizations.

  1. Access to electronic sources for patents and other scientific and technical publications.
  2. Assistance in searching for and retrieving technological information.
  3. Training in database research.
  4. Conducting research upon request.
  5. Technology and competitor monitoring.
  6. Providing basic information on intellectual and industrial property laws, management strategies, technology utilisation and marketing.
  7. Supporting the requirements for filing patent applications.
  8. Providing information on how to submit applications (patents, trademarks, industrial designs, etc.) and assisting in drafting and registering patent applications nationally and internationally.
  9. Accompanying and supporting researchers to develop their ideas into patentable inventions.
  10. Providing necessary training in intellectual and industrial property and patents.
  11. Collaborating and exchanging expertise with all institutions and organisations related to the centre’s missions.
